June Campaign Update

Early July marks our last big push before the primary election on August 6th!! Now is the time for us to really spread the word about Angela’s amazing qualifications to become Redmond’s next mayor. We’ll start during the first few days of July by placing signs all around the city. Derby Days, however, will be our biggest opportunity reach the largest group of voters prior to the primary. We really need your help to make this a big success! Here are some ways you can help, along with some campaign highlights.

Volunteers Needed!!

Redmond Derby Days, July  13th – Angela’s candidacy will be supported with a booth and parade entry at this event. You can help in two ways.

Parade Participation– Show your support of Angela by walking with us during the Derby Days Parade! All are welcomed (including pets on a leash). You can sign up here and reserve your t-shirt, or simply show up at the beginning of the parade. The more people the merrier.

Booth Staffing – Join our fun-loving crew doing set-up, public engagement, game management, or clean-up. Details and sign-up here (time slots are at the bottom of the page).

Doorbelling Signups – Angela is now going door-to-door connecting with community members. She needs people to go along with her during each doorbelling session. Specifically, she needs:

Drivers – Transport team between neighborhoods (you don’t even need to leave the car)

Doorbellers – Go door-to-door to find people at home for maximum efficiency

Sign up today! New dates have been added. If you have any problems with the sign-up links, please email Savanna.

Teen Campaign – All of our volunteer opportunities count for student service hours. Just let us know your goal and we’ll help you get there. In addition to supporting our events, our teens have been busy exploring and studying politics. The paper A Guide to Youth Involvement in Local Campaigns was recently published by Thrisha Mohan and is certainly worth reading.
